Welcome! I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Communications and New Media at National University of Singapore, working with Dr. Renwen Zhang. My research focuses on human-machine communication, AI in healthcare, online peer support, and computational communication. I am passionate about exploring how information and communication technologies can be designed and used to improve mental health and well-being, enhance social relationship, and generally contribute to social good.

As a computational and mixed-method researcher, I used a wide variety of research methods, e.g. automatic text analysis, machine learning, surveys, online experiments, and user interviews, to gain insights into people's emotions, experiences and expectations with new media and communication technologies. My research is at the intersection of communication and human-computer/machine interaction, and has been published in top-tier journals and conference proceedings, including NPJ Digital Medicine, Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, CHI, Cyberpsychology, Behavior and Social Networking among others

Before joining NUS, I received my Ph.D. in Computational Communication from School of Journalism at Fudan University. I hold dual M.A. degrees in Global Communication from School of Communication at Simon Fraser University and Communication University of China and a B.E. degree at Shandong University. I have been a visiting scholar in Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, working with Dr. Robert E. Kraut and Dr. Haiyi Zhu
